SMART LIFE NEWS - SINCE 1992

For nearly a decade, we've provided commercially unbiased research and advice on cutting edge pharmaceuticals, nutrients, hormone supplements and herbs that improve brain function, cognition, health and well-being. We cover more than smart drugs and nutritional supplements however. We also deal with the latest treatment trends and self-care options for conditions affecting cognition like Down's Syndrome, Parkinson’s, Alzheimers’s disease and age-related cognitive decline. And if you have symptoms of hormone problems like hypothyroidism, feel run down with chronic fatigue, or experience foggy thinking, forgetfulness or lack of mental clarity, we have strategies that can help.

The Newsletter: Smart Life News (formerly Smart Drug News) is the leading newsletter on cognition-enhancing nutrients and drugs. Published by CERI, it covers the most current information on how to obtain and use dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals to enhance a myriad of mental functions on which we depend to be happy, successful, productive and healthy people.

What's in it? Smart Life News contains articles on new smart drugs and nutritional supplements, updates on new findings for drugs or supplements you may already know about, how to use them (and how not to use them), where to get them, and what to expect when you use them. It also keeps readers informed about practical, legal, regulatory and legislative issues relating to nutrients and smart drugs. We have reported on the FDA's import alert on specific smart-drug companies, and have published recommendations and strategies for dealing with import detentions of personal use shipments (including sample letters). Our Resources Listing keeps subscribers up-to-date with ongoing changes with international suppliers of smart drugs and hard to find supplements.

Will it be too technical? Smart Life News is written to be understandable. We translate the technical language of nutrition, pharmacology, neuroendocrinology and cognitive science into understandable language. Our Editor, Steven Wm. Fowkes, is an organic chemist with a decade of experience editing health newsletters and writing popular books and articles for lay readers. Our Medical Editor is Dr. Ward Dean, co-author of both Smart Drugs & Nutrients and Smart Drugs II, as well as numerous other professional publications. All of us associated with CERI are personally committed to maintaining scientific accuracy during the translation of technical information into readily understandable language. When we do get technical (we do), we explain. If our explanation is not sufficient, we explain it again in our Q&A column.

Real Life, In a Newsletter? The personal issues which come up in the Q&A column create a forum for the real-life issues which arise when real people take smarrt drugs in the context of their daily lives. It is one of the best sources of information the use of smart drugs and their effects in people. Many subscribers tell us this is the most valuable portion of the newsletter!
